XR4MCR

Multiplayer Collaborative Robotics Maintenance Training Platform in Extended Reality

The XR4MCR project leverages XR technology to create a scalable, multi-user training platform for industrial robot maintenance. It simplifies module creation without coding, enhances training efficiency, reduces costs, and offers realistic, immersive learning experiences.

Technology

The XR4MCR project focuses on developing an advanced Extended Reality (XR) platform for industrial robotics maintenance training. This platform enables the creation of educational content without the need for coding, using predefined templates and tools within an extended reality environment. It supports collaborative training sessions, allowing multiple users to interact with virtual objects and perform group-centric tasks. Secure user management is ensured through the implementation of Keycloak for authentication and role-based access control. The platform also incorporates Nextcloud for centralized storage, sharing, and management of training scenarios and educational materials. Built on VIROO, it provides a scalable infrastructure for real-time visualization, simulation, and interaction in XR environments.
